This week has been straight crazy. Recruitment is the most intense endurance sport ever, I think I’m more exhausted than I was after my marathon. But, it will all be worth it on Sunday when we get our new Spring 2012 class! It’s weird going through recruitment as a senior, I feel like I’ve been part of my sorority forever, but I love watching the new girls we recruited last year learn the ropes. They do such a good job that I know my chapter will be in good hands when I graduate. I can’t wait to meet our new Phi’s!!!
I seriously need to start looking for a dress for my sorority’s formal! April will be here before I know it, and since it’s my senior year, I need something really good :) What are some of your favorite stores/websites for formal dress shopping??

It’s Day 2 of recruitment, which means it’s Philanthropy Day! As a Phi Mu, we will be sharing our two philanthropies with the girls who come to our rounds today. For us, those philanthropies are Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) and Phi Mu Foundation. CMNH (http://childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org/) helps children in America who have been hospitalized receive comfort and proper medical treatment. They make a huge difference in the lives of these children and their families, providing support and love in their time of need.
Phi Mu Foundation, our 2nd philanthropy, is a foundation that is set up to foster “sisters helping sisters”. They award scholarships, offer leadership seminars and programs, provide emergency grants to sisters who live in areas effected by natural disaster (ex. sisters affected by Hurricane Katrina), and educate Phi Mu’s about risk management, chapter development, etiquette, health, and fiscal responsibility. More information can be accessed here: http://www.phimufoundation.org/
I am so proud to support such amazing organizations, and live out our values of Love, Honor, and Truth! Tell me, what do you, your sorority, or your organization do to help out your community? I’d love to know!
Total Sorority Move. Seriously don’t know how I’m going to get by without these girls when I graduate. My sisterhood is the single best thing that has ever happened to me.
